🌿 When Are You Going to Choose You?

Not the version that performs for acceptance.

Not the one that holds it all together for everyone else.

But the version underneath—the one that’s often forgotten in the process of survival.

The one that’s exhausted but still holding light.

The one that’s been dependable, selfless, strong… but silent about what’s needed in return.

When are you going to choose that version?

Because it’s easy to fall into patterns of giving without pause.

To pour endlessly into relationships, work, responsibilities—until there’s nothing left.

Until the body aches.

Until the spirit shuts down.

Until the soul whispers, “Please. Come back to me.”

There comes a moment when life forces a choice.

Sometimes through a crisis.

Sometimes through silence.

Sometimes through the slow unraveling that no one else sees.

For some, it looks like a health scare.

For others, it looks like burnout.

Or the quiet heartbreak of realizing you’ve been absent in your own life.

That moment came.

Everything paused.

The only option was to go inward.

To listen deeply.

To stop fixing, rescuing, managing—and just be still.

And in that stillness came a realization:

You can’t keep waiting for someone else to make you whole.

Choosing yourself doesn’t mean abandoning others.

It means finally honoring the parts of you that have gone unnoticed.

It means rest without guilt.

Joy without apology.

Boundaries without explanation.

Choosing yourself means looking in the mirror and saying:

“I matter. My needs matter. My energy, my peace, my presence—it all matters.”

So let this be a sacred reminder:

🕊️ When are you going to choose you?

Not the version shaped by fear or expectations.

But the version that’s been patiently waiting for permission to exhale.

To feel again.

To exist beyond survival.

Choosing you is not selfish.

It’s revolutionary.

It’s healing.

It’s holy.

And it’s time.
