A Mother’s Covering

Dear God,
I want to raise resilient children,
loved and adored wherever they go.
May they be the head and not the tail,
magnetic, radiant,
exuding positivity, peace, calmness,
strength, joy, love, abundance —
all good things drawn to them.
Lay Your hand over their heads,
light the path to their feet
so they know where to step.
Heal the broken parts within them
so they may journey whole.
Show them the error of their ways,
soften their rough spots,
prune what needs pruning
and lead them on a righteous, godly path.
Let them seek Your word
and seek You in times of need.
Love them and give them favor
wherever they go.
Keep a watchful eye
so no one may harm them.
Send angels to surround them,
catch them when they fall,
and make every crooked step straight.
Place a hedge of protection around them;
guide them, lead them,
and teach them to listen to Your voice
and to me,
that they may live fulfilled,
long lives that satisfy them.
Remove any dark spirit,
any lingering harm,
any force that would trap them
in cycles of depression, dimming,
numbing, hiding, or self-doubt.
Fill them instead with everything
they need to fulfill Your will.
Give me strength and the tools,
align me with the people
necessary to direct their steps.
Remove anyone from my life
not designed for my children’s good.
Let whatever they touch turn to gold.
Let everything they do prosper.
May every room they walk into
open with favor and willing hearts.
Let them belong anywhere,
heads held high,
knowing they are light,
they are blueprint,
they are model.
Though their lives won’t be perfect,
may they learn from mistakes,
be molded by them,
keeping my sacred lessons
and Your word hidden in their hearts
so they will not stumble.
And if they dash their foot upon a stone,
may they look back
to the roadmap of our teachings
and find their way.
Thank You for these children, Lord.
Continue to guide, mold, and lead them,
align them with those meant for them.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
